A Role Model-Giving More Than Expected

I have met and connected with a local Austin consultant who has become a role model for me.

This person is younger than me (may be wiser too) and leads by example as a consultant in our community.

He is always available to help and adds value to any issue I am working on. His expertise is Social Media.

He likes to educate and teach people about Social Media (instead of just providing a service).

Last year we asked him if he could spare a few hours to help our American Lung Association with its publicity for the “Fight for Air Climb.” Fast forward to today, he is now our Social Media expert on our Austin Board. He did not ask for that. We asked him due to his expertise and willingness to engage.

Joey McGirr understands the word “engagement.” He always gives more than is expected. He actually wants to change the world and make it better. Remember how we all felt that way when we were 18 years old? Some people never lose that.
