Recently, my spouse Bonnie Balistreri, of Bonnie Balistreri Image Consulting and I partnered together with Six executives who were looking for their next big job challenge.

We offered them real time feedback on their interviewing competencies plus their non-verbal behavior and image within the mock interviewing experience.

We packaged this offering by telling the executives that “we will tell you exactly what we would tell our hiring clients about you.” This service is 1.5 hours long and the feedback is given at the end of the session.

We proceeded to tell the executive what they did well related to interviewing and commented on non-verbal behavior and image related to dressing optimally for an interview

We also told each of them about any areas they could improve in.

Here are some examples of the feedback we offered:

  • Great use of an initial “ice-breaker” when we first met
  • You engage well in the interview discussion-thoughful and reflective with your answers
  • Got the impression that you may be too hands-off with your leadership style
  • Loved the bright neck tie. It conveyed confidence
  • Raise your energy level and enthusiasm
  • Instead of looking at your resume for notes, speak more from the heart
  • The dark colors you wore “drown” you. Consider adding a pop of color to the outfit

As you can see, this real time feedback can be extremely valuable for any candidate or employee who wants to develop to the next level.

In interviewing for positions, whether internally or externally, perception is reality.

If your company has a need for this service or you as a candidate have this need, please contact Bonnie Balistreri.
