I keep thinking about Andy Murray. What a phenomenal win at Wimbledon. He became the first British tennis player since 1936 to win that trophy.

What can we learn from this very big win?

1) The British press can be mean and the entire country put a ton of pressure on Andy Murray to end the drought. He had to put that pressure out of his head and perform at a high level. This takes disciplined thinking and mental toughness.

2) He has worked very hard for the last 1.5 years to get to the next level with his performance. With his team of coaches and trainers, they have all made up the gap between him and Federer, Djokovic and Nadal, the best players in tennis today. He was willing to put in the work and be open to change to get better.

3) His opponent on Sunday was Novak Djokovic whom I believe is more talented. Andy just wanted it more and you could tell that in the way he went after each and every point. Sometimes wanting it more can be the deciding factor.

4) Andy Murray seems very humble. When asked if this should mean Knighthood for him, he played down that discussion.

Thank you Andy Murray. Your win was one for the ages and if we are paying attention, we all can learn something from your win.
