Laszlo Block, CEO of Humu, helped Google become one of the best workplaces in the world as the former head of People Operations. He recently shared his advice on building a standout resume and attempting to understand if you are the right culture fit for the company you are interviewing with.

On creating a resume that will standout among the others, he suggests keeping it simple by following these 3 steps:

  1. What did you do at your companies?
  2. How did you accomplish what you did?
  3. How were the accomplishments measured?

Using that approach throughout your resume will make it easy to read and understand and it will standout among the other resumes.

On attempting to understand if the company you are interviewing with is the right culture fit for you, Laszlo suggests asking what gets rewarded, promoted and recognized in the company? Those answers  will help you directly understand the culture of the company and if you are a great fit for it.

Excellent and easy to use advice from Laszlo Block. The advice goes straight and efficiently to the answers you need to succeed in these two areas.
