My Austin based executive search firm recently completed an important multiple search assignment for a valued client. We filled three crucial positions for them.
My client suggested that I survey the candidates who had been hired about the executive search recruiting process (evaluating both the company and Salvatore Balistreri Consulting from the candidate’s point of view).
I thought this was an excellent idea as we discovered information that was beneficial, constructive and very positive for my firm and for the client.
Here are some highlights from a candidate’s point of view (both good and areas to improve) on Salvatore Balistreri Consulting:
- “After having completed the interview process with Salvatore Balistreri Consulting. I felt well educated on the opportunity and ready to put my best foot forward with the company.
- Salvatore Balistreri Consulting was attentive throughout the process and timely with all conversations, emails, and telephone calls. They effectively discussed the position, expectations, and was thorough during our interview. Overall, I feel that Salvatore Balistreri Consulting did a fine job representing the organization while helping me to understand the position and business needs. Their straightforward approach allowed me to be aware of all aspects of the job opportunity and whom I would be working with and for.
- The beginning of the process was a little frustrating. After the initial interview the communication was a bit rocky as they decided to not move me through the process. The way this process was handled sure could be frustrating for those that are decided to be passed on. The willingness of Salvatore Balistreri Consulting to re-engage after being asked for feedback was great! It absolutely led to my accepting the position down the road. Not a lot of companies in the recruiting business would be as willing to provide coaching and feedback to potential recruits.”
Surveying your candidates after they have experienced the entire staffing process is an excellent method to receive feedback (both good and not so good) that can eventually make your firm/company the best it can be.
