The holidays have been a good time for relaxed thinking about the year to come. As we think about personal and business goals, you know that you cannot do it alone. The people that you surround yourself with will also be part of your success in 2013 whether clients, work team, peers, family, etc.
One simple thought that rings true is that people want to feel important and valued. I remember a mantra during my Human Resources corporate career, “catch people doing things right.”
So here is my counsel: if you are a leader at work and/or in your family, ENCOURAGE others. Sincerely Encourage your team as this breeds loyalty and your people will eventually give you 100% (and their heart).
