People ask me if a thank you note really helps your cause after an interview event.
Most people today will send an email thank you note and that is a positive action to take.

The most positive action, however, is a written thank you note. I just received one on an executive search I am working on this week from a very good candidate.

It made me feel that this candidate was thankful, humble and respected our interview time. It also made me feel like the person really wants the job.

My answer on this question……yes, yes, yes…….write a “written” thank you note always (not email). That type of communication really does make a difference! And yes, I will be telling my client about it.
