Just some random thoughts this Sunday morning thinking about a couple of CEO’s who happen to be great clients and friends to my firm.

Jerry Davis is CEO of Goodwill Industries of Central Texas. Had him over for coffee and scones the other day to discuss business (he lives in our neighborhood, so it was an easy stop for him on the way to his work in North Austin).  A few days go by and I get a written thank you note in the “snail” mail from him. He thanked my wife Bonnie and I for the morning coffee we shared together.

Scotte Hudsmith is CEO of Smile Doctors in Georgetown, Texas. I had a business lunch with him last Fall. At the end of the lunch, he asked me, “is there something I can do for you to help you?” I was truly impressed with that question.

Being a CEO is a tough, challenging job. Very cool when you can work with CEO’s who are thoughtful, humble and care not only about their own company but others they come in contact with.

Well done!
